Oliver Peoples is pleased to announce its alignment with Miller’s Oath, a custom menswear brand based in New York. Founded in 1906 by six brothers, Miller’s Oath began as a trading post and quickly grew as an institution lauded for hand tailoring and bespoke accessories. Oliver Peoples utilized the Miller’s Oath store as an environment to showcase a new capsule series in continuation of the Vintage Circa 1987 collection called Sir.
For generations, the Miller family has committed to a philosophy of style and quality that has allowed the Miller’s Oath store to become a paradigm for superior service, bespoke product and attention to detail. Oliver Peoples and Miller’s Oath both cater to a customer who carries a distinct confidence, valuing immaculate quality without a focus on logos, but with a discerning taste for impeccable, discreetly branded style. The two companies are dedicated to handcrafting the highest quality product with meticulous care to detail and fit, and both Oliver Peoples and Miller’s Oath believe in maintaining a brand identity reflective of the companies’ roots and original values.
The Los Angeles-based eyewear company and New York-based menswear store have aligned to create the dream uniform for the modern day, American executive. Oliver Peoples originally influenced bankers’ attire from a feature in the classic book and cult film, “American Psycho,” which established a new look, while name-checking the brand. Oliver Peoples and Miller’s Oath, both creatively influenced by vintage elements in style and culture, will redefine the image of today’s banker with a modern day take on a classic look.
With care to classic, intellectual styling, the authentic eyewear designs from the capsule collection help to reinvent the American businessman’s look for the future. The Sir O’Malley, Sir Finley and Sir Kent, three timeless designs from the Oliver Peoples archive with elevated detailing, debuted at a preview event with Miller’s Oath on August 7, 2013.
